There was a large barn fire at Trevemper near Newquay at 1.30pm on Wednesday, October 2.
By 2.30pm more than fifty personnel were on scene dealing with a barn measuring approximately 50 by 30 metres containing grain, and about 700 blaes of straw and hay.
Hazards were removed to prevent them becoming involved.
Cornwall Fire, Rescue and Community Service warned that the fire appliances were affecting traffic on the A3075 near the Trevemper roundabout and advised drivers to avoid the area.
Six fire crews and supporting specialist crews attended from Newquay, Truro, Perranporth, St. Austell, St. Dennis, St. Columb, Launceston and Penzance.
From 8pm just one applicance remained on scene as the fire was allowed to burn out under supervision. It was still visible to members of the public at that time.
