A trailer of around ten tonnes of hay caught fire near Frome this afternoon (June 23).
Fire crews were called to Murder Combe, Whatley at 1.45pm to reports of a tractor's trailer full of hay on fire.
Two fire engines from Frome and a water bowser from Wilton, across the border in Wiltshire, were sent to the scene.
On arrival cres found that the trailer had been detached from the tractor and moved to a safer place.
The burning trailer held approximately ten tonnes of hay.
The fire is believed to have been accidental.
