Two fire crews were called to tackle a tractor fire that had spread to the trailer attached and the hay bales loaded on it near St Just last night (Wednesday).
At 6.30pm firefighters were mobilised to the field.
Wearing breathing apparatus they worked hard to extinguish the fire and prevent is from spreading further.
Once the fire was under control and contained, the farmer used a telehandler to pull the bales apart.
Firefighters then dampened them down.
