A barn fire was complicated by a tractor and a diesel tank catching fire in a North Devon village on Sunday (May 15).
Both Cornwall and Devon and Somerset Rescue and Fire Services were called at just before 12.30pm with reports of an agricultural fire in the Pyworthy area, near Holsworthy.
Fire crews from Holsworthy, Torrington and Bideford were mobilised, together with a water carrier from Barnstaple.
On arrival they found a barn, a tractor and a diesel tank well alight.

Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters used a hose reel jet and a thermal imaging camera to tackle the fire.
Despite their best efforts, the tractor and diesel tank were destroyed, although fortunately the barn suffered just 5 per cent heat damage.
By 3pm the fire was extinguished.
