The fire service encourages farmers to make sure that their machinery is well maintained and that it is regularly cleaned to keep it free from hay, straw, oil and grease.
It also reminds farmers to clearly signpost the entrance to the farm and to make use of a location app, like What3words or Ordnance Survey Locate. These apps can give a specific geographical reference for the emergency services, if needed.
