After they have endured the most difficult of early springs, reward the dedication of a beef farmer you know by nominating them for Beef Farmer of the Year in this year's South West Farmer Awards.
The video shows the beef farmers shortlisted last year and it was James Kittow of Kilhallon Farm near Par in Cornwall who won the award.
It doesn't take long to give us a few details which we can then follow up to make a more comprehensive nomination that will give them the best chance of success of winning the accolade of Beef Farmer of the Year (sponsored by Greenslade Taylor Hunt.)
What we want to celebrate is the skills of a beef farmer with a clear and progressive business plan and programmes and policies in place for the management of health livestock for breeding, rearing and finishing, coupled with a strong grassland and forage management strategy.
There are a whole range of South West Farmer Awards that recognise the best farmers in the south west but we need your help in telling us who they are.
Get involved, nominate and make their day.
