CULM Valley Young Farmers' Club held their annual late summer ball at Bridwell Park by permission of Lord and Lady Ivor Mountbatten.
This year's ball carried the colour theme of passion, with flower arrangements and other décor in shades of red and black.
Organised by Mark Davis, this year's club chairman, with help from both members and advisory, the evening's music was provided by Totnes band Riviera Five-0, accompanied also by a disco from Paul Tripp.
Culm Valley's ball is well known across Devon for being one of the highlights of the calendar, and this year was no exception, with tickets selling out in record time.
The venue was magnificent, the flowers looked fabulous, the band and disco were both superb, the buffet was a lovely spread of food, and plenty of it to fill all those farmers' appetites, and of course, top priority for some, the bar was well staffed and ran quickly and effectively.
In all a good night was had by all, helped significantly by the fact that Culm Valley were graced with good weather, unlike that which they had for their barn disco and tow which unfortunately had to be cancelled.
