August got off to an impressive start at Kivells Exeter office following the sale of Wakeham Farm at a hugely successful public property auction for the firm.
Thurlestone Parish Hall witnessed fast bidding for the property which generated huge interest on the lead up to the auction.
In-house auctioneer and Kivells director Simon Alford expertly conducting proceedings with the hammer falling at £1,795,000, a staggering £295,000 above the auction guide price, adding to the incredible success of recent individual and collective auctions.
Wakeham Farm, a six bedroom period farmhouse, sits at the heart of the pretty and highly sought after village of South Milton. The impressive sale also included a courtyard of six stone built cottages, versatile outbuildings, paddock and additional development opportunities with land extending to approximately 4.8 acres. The property represents an exciting holiday or development opportunity for the new owners.
Simon was delighted with the sale, “Wakeham Farm is a fantastic opportunity for the new purchaser and we are delighted to have achieved a great price.”
Kivells next auction is on Wednesday, September 4 at The Eagle House Hotel in Launceston where a diverse selection of seven properties are on offer.
