FIREFIGHTERS were sent to tackle a grain dryer on fire on Thursday morning.
Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service got the call to attend the scene at the hamlet of Gollawater, six miles north-west of Truro, shortly after 9am.
Fire engines from Perranporth and Tolvaddon were sent to deal with it, with support from the Aerial Ladder Platform from Truro.
The fire was believed to be out shortly before 10am, with fire crews monitoring its temperature.
At around 10.40am they gained entry to the dryer and were decanting grain.
They continued to do so, while monitoring for hotspots.
