A sale of tractors, machinery and general agricultural and construction equipment was held on Saturday October 12 at the Westcountry Sale Centre, consisting of over 500 lots from vendors across the south west.

This included tractors, diggers, lorries, vans and cars alongside a wide assortment of tools and general equipment.

The top price from the day was seen for a 2003 Kubota ME8200 4WD tractor equipped with a Kubota LA 1251 loader with the hammer finally falling at £15,000.

Another Kubota, this time a digger, also sold extremely well. The 1999 121.2 3.75 ton digger sold for a strong price of £9,400. Other prices included the sale of a Maschio power harrow which had a fault within its gearbox still achieving £650.00, a small and well used ATV trailer reaching £480.00 and a diesel cement mixer achieving £440.00.

Outside of the machinery lines a Lister type 2L engine sold for £390.00 and an ornate outdoor dining table accompanied by chairs reached £350.00. The sale was again an improvement on previous sales held at the centre both in the quality of lots entered into the sale and the quantity of purchasers which attended on the day.

Buyers from as far as Gloucester and Wales were in attendance.
