Police are asking farmers to be on alert following two cases of arson to barns in east Cornwall this year.
Devon and Cornwall Police rural affairs team are asking farmers, landowners and the public to be on alert after two incidents of arson to a barn in east Cornwall this year.
Farm machinery and straw bales were destroyed on Thursday, January 30 in the Blunts area.
At the time of the fire a dark coloured 4x4 vehicle was seen behaving suspiciously
A further incident occurred on Saturday, February 22 between 8pm and 9.15pm to a barn in the St Dominic area where a large quantity of farm machinery was destroyed.

Although the two incidents are not known to be linked the rural affairs team are advising all to ensure that the appropriate security is present and to remain vigilant for suspicious activity.
