A herd of cows was hit by two trains on Thursday morning - leaving seven animals dead and several others injured, writes Daniel Jae Webb.
The cows were struck after wandering onto tracks near Royal Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire, at around 11am.
One of the trains suffered damage to the windscreen and nose cone, forcing passengers to be evacuated.
Railway workers, a farmer and a vet could be seen clearing the line and working on the animals following the collision.
A spokesman for GWR, the train operator, said disruption was expected until 6pm.
