A man has died in a crash involving a tractor.
Emergency services were called to reports of a collision on Chedington Lane, near Mosterton, involving a small International Harvester tipper tractor shortly before 6.30pm on Tuesday evening.
Police attended, along with the fire and ambulance services.
Sadly, the driver, a 20-year-old local man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin has been informed.
Dorset Police has since issued a witness appeal following the fatal collision.
Witnesses or anyone with relevant dashcam footage are urged to come forward.
The road was closed to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.
Police Sergeant Sarah Jones, of the traffic unit, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man involved at this very difficult time.
“An investigation is underway into this collision and I would urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or has relevant dashcam footage to assist my enquiries, to please get in touch.
“I would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding while the road closure is in place. It is absolutely necessary to allow us to carry out a thorough examination of the scene.”
