CIDER fans who wish to keep it local are encouraged to check out a directory of local producers on Dorset Food & Drink's website.
For many of people in the West Country, cider is described as the nectar of the Gods.
A range of ciders are available in the county. In Dorset, you’ll find flavours such as cherry, blueberry and cranberry made with locally grown fruits. During the winter, it is also likely that you can find ciders flavoured with warm spices like cinnamon and ginger.

The directory lists a number of locally brewed ciders including Dorset Star Cider in Chalmington, Noddy's Cider in Weymouth and the West Milton Cider Company near Bridport.
See dorsetfoodanddrink.org for full details of the producers.
