These dramatic photos show a lorry carrying hay on fire in Devon on Monday afternoon.
The lorry caught fire on the A361 North Devon Link Road, between Rackenford and the A396 Bolham Road in Tiverton.
The road was subsequently closed in both directions through the night and into the morning as repairs were needed.
At 16:16 on Monday, September 14, crews from Tiverton and Cullompton, together with a water bowser from Exeter were mobilised to the fire.
On arrival it was apparent that a large number of hay bales on board the lorry were on fire.
Crews requested further assistance from Witheridge and Barnstaple.
By half past 9, crews had made steady progress dragging out the hay and using positive pressure fans to accelerate a controlled burn of the hay.

The crews then rotated with relief crews from Dulverton and Wellington.
Special lighting equipment from Taunton was needed, since the incident went on through the night.
