A person suffered from smoke inhalation as a farmhouse in North Devon burnt late yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).
The fire broke out in the kitchen and ground floor of the farmhouse in Cheldon, near Chulmleigh.
At 5pm crews from Witheridge, Chulmleigh and South Molton were sent to the scene.
After assessing the extent of the fire, they requested assistance from crews from North Tawton and Crediton.
An ambulance was called to help the casualty, who was suffering from smoke inhalation.

Crews used four breathing apparatus, sunstrom masks, safety at height equipment, roof ladder, two triple extension ladders, two hose reels, a safety jet and a covering jet to extinguish the fire.
Sadly, the farmhouse was 90 per cent damaged by fire and 40 per cent damaged by smoke.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
