These action photos show the challenging rescue of Rev, a horse who became stuck in a water filled ditch.
The dramatic incident took place in a field near Yatton yesterday (Thursday, October 8).
Crew from Bath Fire Station and Yatton Fire Station had to employ their large animal rescue skills in what they called 'a testing incident'.
Rev was well and truly stuck in the narrow ditch and it was full of water.
The horse needed to be carefully moved to allow him to get out.
From being upside down in the ditch, he was carefully moved onto his side, then upright.
Bath Fire Station reported after the successful rescue that both Rev and his rider were doing well.
