Kivells of Holsworthy saw an entry of 157 cattle selling to a top call of £1,235 for some heavy Black steers in from George Worth of Thornbury, with Charolais heifers in from Ken and Richard Ford of Webbery at £1,085, with plenty of buyers ready to spend.
Prime cattle saw a top call of £1,303 on behalf of Messrs Petherick & Son of Clawton.
292 baby calves saw the best reared calves hitting £545 on behalf of A and P Nancekivell of Bude with WJ Hobbs close up at £460 for Blue bulls.
282 cull ewes topped at £107 for Jonny Allin of Hartland with plenty over £90.
1,106 prime lambs saw a very strong trade with the best to £101.50 for Messrs Dennis of Hartland with premium on the day set at 222p p/kg on behalf of I and P Stephens of Ocean View, Bude.
24 tonnes of wheat straw reached £140 per tonne.
