The South West Limousin Society spring sale saw excellent prices this year.
Held on Wednesday, May 26 at Holsworthy market, it was judged by Arthur Stanbury.
In the show before the sale began, he chose 'Killeron Pondo' as his Champion of the show.
The bull went on to top the sale at £4,200.
He was bought by Mr and Mrs Wills of Truro.
‘Loosebeare Rolo’ , a 13 month old bull from Messrs Quick & Son of Crediton sold for £3,675 and another from the Crediton farm sold for £3,045.
The pick of the cows reached £1,470 for a 2018 born cow sold on behalf of Mr Churches of Somerset.
Speaking after the sale, director and auctioneer at Kivells, Mark Bromell, said “We were very pleased to have seen a successful show and sale on behalf of the Limousin Society which resulted in some excellent prices recorded.”
