PLANS for 145 homes on farmland near Westbury with parking for up to 386 vehicles have been submitted to Wiltshire Council.
The plans for land at Glenmore Farm, on the Hawkeridge Road, on The Ham, include a community orchard and children’s play areas.
The proposed development includes 87 homes for open market housing, 35 for social/affordable housing and 23 for affordable home ownership.
The applicant is also offering tree planting, habitat creation and ecology buffers and mitigation and associated infrastructure.
The plot is to the east of the West Wilts Trading Estate at Westbury. The application site comprises of 9.39 hectares in total, located on the northern fringe of the town.
The plans have been submitted by Lawrence Turner, of Boyer Planning in Clifton, Bristol, acting as an agent on behalf of Westbury LVA LLP, whose registered office is in Sherborne, Dorset.
Westbury LVA LLP is run by two significant designated LLP members. They are Highland & Universal Land Ltd of Edinburgh and Manual Investing Ltd of Yeovil in Somerset.
The land hosts a small number of agricultural buildings and irregular-shaped agricultural fields associated with Glenmore Farm.
The deadline for public consultation is July 2. So far, there appear to be no comments on the development.
