A man suffered burns to his arms in a tractor fire in Devon on Sunday evening (May 30).
The tractor caught fire in a field at Hewish Barton near Muddiford.
Two fire crews and the water carrier were called from Barnstaple Fire Station at 6.46pm.
Arriving at the scene, they found the tractor to be well alight in the field.
A man suffering burns to his arms was treated by fire fighters on the scene and they advised him to go to the Accident and Emergency Department at North Devon District Hospital.
A spokesperson for the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews began to tackle the fire using hose reel jets and breathing apparatus.
"Shortly after the arrival of blue watch the on call crew set up compressed air foam which knocked the fire back very quickly.
"When the water carrier arrived we had enough water to ensure the vehicle was cooled enough before departing.
"One male sustained burns to his arms and was treated on scene by our crews and advised to take a trip to NDDH A&E department."
At 8.11pm the fire was confirmed to be out.
The tractor was 100 per cent damaged by fire and the cause is believed to have been accidental.
