Five men have been summonsed to court following disorder at an Avon Vale Hunt in December.
The hunt took place in Lacock during the morning of December 27 and a series of fights between hunt supporters and protesters.
Following extensive enquiries, the following men have now been summonsed to court for Section 4 Public Order offences:
- Adrian Earl, 52, from Calne
- Callum Lewis, 26, from Westbury
- Evan Lorne, 18, from Melksham
- Andrew Purbrick, 59, from Westbury
- William Renny, 30 from Westbury
All five men are due to appear at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on April 6.
Thousands of people have signed a petition that alleges that one of the officers present at the meet was personally connected to the Avon Vale Hunt.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police added: "We’ve undertaken a review of our policing approach regarding this incident and, upon the conclusion of these criminal proceedings, we will publish a summary of this review."
