A piece of land has come to the market between St Ives and Penzance that offers a variety of uses.
The 18.96 acres (7.67 hectares) at Towednack has not been touched for about 10 years, except a small area of recent cutting.
The land has a prominent position with about 500metres of frontage to the main St Ives to Penzance road and it offers a range of potential future uses.
It has become a haven for wildlife, so tree planting or careful management of the site could enhance this further.
The plot could be used to offset carbon or with some work it could be used for agriculture and grazing.
There has been a stable or small barn on the site in the past which could be reinstated, subject to all necessary consents being obtained.
The dilapidated remains of this are several metres to the left of the gate on entry to the field.
The land has a prominent position with about 500metres of frontage to the main St Ives to Penzance road.
Alternatively, being just three miles from St Ives, Towednack could be converted to work as a tourist or holiday business, subject to all necessary consents being obtained.
The plot is to be auctioned by Symonds & Sampson from 2pm on Thursday, March 3 at The Digby Hall in Sherborne.
It has a guide price of £110,000 plus fees.
To register to bid in the room, online or by telephone/proxy visit the Symonds & Sampson website.
