Two official charities supported by this year's Royal Cornwall Show have been announced.
St Petrocs and Hall for Cornwall have been chosen to undertake charitable collections during the show which this year is June 9-11.
St. Petrocs are working to end homelessness in Cornwall and provide services such as outreach, resettlement, emergency accommodation and supported accommodation.
Steve Ellis, CEO of St. Petrocs said: “It is a huge honour to be one of the chosen charities at the Royal Cornwall Show 2022.
"We are incredibly grateful for this demonstration of support of our work with people experiencing homelessness in Cornwall, and for the awareness generated through this fabulous annual event."
Hall for Cornwall showcases the arts, both inside and outside its new flagship venue, the Cornwall Playhouse, which lies within the Grade II listed building in Truro.
It supports schools and communities with projects as well as supporting artists and practitioners in creating original work.
The CEO and creative director Julien Boast said: “We’re thrilled to have been nominated as a chosen charity by Royal Cornwall Show 2022, an event which has been a cultural cornerstone in our county for so many years and shares so many of our values.
"Hall for Cornwall is here to enable the people of our county to discover all the arts can be”
“Like the Royal Cornwall Show, we have had quite a break, having just completed a comprehensive three-year transformation of our iconic Grade II listed building.
"As we welcome Cornwall back into our space, which now plays host to an even bigger theatre and arts programme in the brand-new Cornwall Playhouse alongside new spaces for local creative businesses.”
