As the summer begins in earnest, farmers are getting increasingly irritated by the actions of walkers.

Reports of gates being left open, dogs being walked off the lead around livestock, livestock worrying and dog poo left in plastic bags are increasingly common.

So, we thought we'd share this light-hearted tactic that caught our eye. The photo was taken by someone calling themselves Imfloridaman who then shared it on Reddit.

The farmer is surely half-joking (can a bull run the length of a field in 10 seconds?) but it is an arresting sign.

It's certain to make walkers think for a minute or two and it may even stay in their mind the next time they think about walking through a field.

Sadly, we can't find out who the farmer is or where the land is to hear whether the sign is working but we reckon it's got to be worth a try!
