The sun is expected to be shining today as Cornwall's biggest one day agricultural show gets underway during a heatwave.
With temperatures expected to rise to above 23 degrees centigrade today visitors are advised to take sunscreen, water and a hat to Stithians Show which take place today.

The action-packed main ring at Stithians Showground will be busy all day showcasing the magnificent heavy horses, the fast and furious showjumping and a parade of prize-winning cattle.
There are plenty of other animals across the rest of the showground too, with goats and sheep, birds, rabbits, cavies and a whole area dedicated to dog showing and the ever popular dog-agility.
In the exhibition ring there will be Cornish Wrestling, Cornish Shinty, Feadon Farm Wildlife Centre and Gundogs.

The Countryside Area will be full of traditional displays and demonstrations from basketry and beekeeping to quilting and Cornish Hedge and Wildlife to the Muzzle Loaders Association of Great Britain.
The fairground will satisfy thrill-seekers whilst the steam and vintage area will be perfect for a glimpse into the past.
The show also has a wealth of trade stands, local crafters who will be on hand to show visitors their incredible Cornish creations and the jewel in the agricultural crown goes to the Taste of Cornwall feature that hosts the finest of local produce.

Stithians Energy Group will be planting trees for children and for, the younger visitors, the free Sunflower Trail will take children on a journey of discovery around the showground as they enjoy hands-on activities to learn more about rural life and the world around us all. Children can collect all the stamps to win a rosette; pick up a free map by the entrance gates.
There will live music throughout the day at the Bandstand:
St Stythians Band will play throughout the day with Oll an Gwella at 4.30pm and the Whippletree Ceilidh Band 5.15pm.
On the Main Stage, sponsored by Kelly’s of Bodmin & Victoria Ling of Vision Financial Planning will be starting at 10.15am by Jumping Out Duo followed by Stithians Male Voice Choir (Guest Conductor – Alastair Taylor) at 11am by Stithians Male Voice Choir then Mavericks Line Dancers, Oll an Gwella, Ritzy Belles and Whippletree Ceilidh Band.
At 2.30pm there will Scarecrow Festival Prize Winners Presentation followed again by Stithians Male Voice Choir, Akoustek ands Andy Marshall
The event will also see the return of the Buskers’ Corner, which features an array of performers, local ales and a rustic feel.
