Crews are tackling a huge barn fire in Bridport which is close to a barn holding livestock.
The barn is storing around 900 tonnes of hay.
The fire broke at in the early hours of this morning (Thursday).
Crews from Bridport and Beaminster were mobilised to the barn on Pymore Lane at just after 1am.
On arrival, they found the barn fully alight and requested three more pumps from Charmouth, Maiden Newton and Dorchester.
Crews are using multiple main lines to bring the fire under control and prevent spread to adjacent buildings, one with solar panels on the roof, and to protect a cattle shed with livestock inside.
Bridport Fire Station shared a video on Facebook showing the intensity of the fire.
Due to the amount of hay stored in the barn - approximately 900 tonnes - crews carried out a watching brief and kept the fire under a controlled burn.
A further assistance message was sent requesting a Manitou digger from Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service to attend at first light to help remove the hay from the barn so that it could be extinguished.
At 6am crews handed the incident over to a five pump relief crew who will continue to extinguish the fire.
The incident is still ongoing and firefighters expect to remain on scene throughout today.
Pymore Lane is currently closed to traffic.
