A woman has been trampled to death by cattle.
Emergency services were called on Monday morning (August 22) after being told of concerns for the woman's welfare.
She had been seen in a field on Rowner Road in Billingshurst at around 11.40am.
Tragically, she has sustained fatal injuries after being trampled by cattle.
She was pronounced dead at the scene and her family have been informed.
The death is not being treated as suspicious, but police are asking for witnesses in the area at the time to come forward.

Between April 1, 2021 and March 31, 2022 two people were killed on farms by injuries from animals, both of which were cattle.
In the past five years, 32 people have been killed by animals, 22 of which were cattle and 10 of which were bulls.
