Following the theft of plant machinery, including a tractor, from Wareham, police have issued CCTV photos of four men they would like to identify.

Between around 9pm on Thursday, September 22 and 1am on Friday, September 23 thieves forced entry into three containers at the Blue Pool in Furzebrook Road near Stoborough.

A Kubota RTV-X1140 utility vehicle and a Kubota tractor were stolen, as well as a number of chainsaws and power cutters.

The stolen items were found hidden on heathland a short distance from the location the following day.

Following enquiries by officers from Dorset Police’s Rural Crime Team, a 28-year-old Wareham man was arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft and remains released under investigation.

Police Constable Kate Schofield, of the Rural Crime Team, said: “Our enquiries are continuing into this incident and we have now obtained CCTV images of four men we would like to identify.

“I would ask anyone who recognises them, or may have information to help our investigation, to please get in touch.”
