This was the state of a lorry and trailer pulled over on the A30 by the police on Monday afternoon (November 21).
Unbelievably, the trailer was found to be missing a tyre when police saw it "crawling along at 30mph" on the busy dual carriageway near Innis Downs, Bodmin.
In fact it was a triple whammy of law-breaking as the police found the load to be overweight and it was not secure.
As part of the Devon and Cornwall Police's 'No Excuse' campaign, an emphasis on road safety across the region, the driver was stopped, reported and the lorry was not allowed to continue.

A spokesperson for the police shared these photo, and said: "Vehicle stopped on A30 at Innis Downs crawling along at 30mph - found to be overweight, load insecure and missing a tyre on the trailer - prohibition issued and driver reported."
