A farm in North Devon that came to market for the first time in 50 years has been snapped up for development.
Gillards Farm in West Down near Ilfracombe, had come to the market for the first time in more than half a century via Greenslade Taylor Hunt.
The property, on the eastern edge of the village, has a period, three-bedroom farmhouse ready for renovation.
It also has a range of traditional barns and a modern farm building for conversion, opportunities for development and other ancillary land.
The farm extends, in total, to approximately 1.65 hectares (4.09 acres).

The development land and planning specialists were quoting a guide price of £925,000 for this special property.
Mark Chugg, partner at GTH, said: “Gillards Farm offers the rare opportunity to live in a desirable and sought-after location, within easy access of some of the region’s most beautiful sandy beaches, peaceful coves, stunning cliffs, scenic walks and the rugged charm of Exmoor National Park. Yet it is within reach of all the services, facilities and amenities that the area offers and good communication links to the wider region.”
