A tyre flying off a trailer towed by a tractor on a busy road in Exeter and a dangerous overtake of a tractor on a country lane feature in heartstopping dashcam footage shared by the police.
Devon and Cornwall Police shared the footage as part of the campaign Operation Snap, which asks for the public to upload video footage of dangerous driving.
The first piece of footage shows a tractor towing a large trailer along a busy main road in Exeter. The trailer has a super-sized tyre dragging along behind it, tethered by a strap. The dashcam footage taken from the car behind captures the moment when the strap snaps, jettisoning the tyre into the pathway of following cars.
In another piece of dashcam footage, a car is met by another heading towards it at speed as it overtakes a tractor on the narrow A386 in Mary Tavy. Miraculously, the vehicles avoid eachother, but it's a tense watch.
A third piece of footage shows a pick up truck on the A30 at Kennford loaded with wood. The moment is captured when the planks shift and catapult a plastic tub and other containers into the carriageway towards cars.

Operation Snap is a secure online facility which allows submissions of video and photographic evidence relating to driving incidents that members of the public have witnessed.
Last year it saw a record number of submissions, leading to 3,400 motorists across the two counties having action taken against them - a 135 per cent increase on 2021.
If you have footage of dangerous driving, it can be shared with Operation Snap at operationsnap.devon-cornwall.police.uk.
