Yesterday (Tuesday) two further people were arrested in connection with video footage appearing to show wildlife crime.
The man and a woman, both aged 25, were arrested on suspicion of hunting a wild mammal with dogs, interfering with badger setts and causing unnecessary suffering to a protected animal.
On Friday (February 10) three men were arrested on suspicion of wildlife offences after a video showing what appears to be an illegal fox hunt in Wiltshire was widely shared.
The video shows hunters digging foxes out of a den for their hounds to chase.
The two suspects arrested yesterday have been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries after being questioned over the matter.
The three arested on Friday have been released on conditional bail.
Chief inspector James Brain said: “Our investigation into the circumstances of this concerning video footage is ongoing and we are actively pursuing a number of lines of enquiry.
“We continue to appeal for anyone with information that might help our investigation to contact us.”
