Now here's an i-deer for diversification - a commercial deer farm has come to market in Devon.
Horridge Farm, Ashreigney, near Chulmleigh is operated as a commercial deer farm. It has been in the current vendors' ownership since 1989 and they are now retiring.
The farm has around 112 acres of land which is deer fenced and there are farm buildings designed specifically for deer handling.
Richard Webber, of Greenslade Taylor Hunt’s South Molton office, said: “The sale of Horridge Farm provides prospective purchasers an extremely rare opportunity to acquire a versatile rural property, affording an eclectic mix of residential, development, agricultural and amenity appeal.”
The five-bedroom farmhouse has has been designed with an 'upside-down' layout to maximise the impact of its views. It has been converted from a traditional stone and slate barn and retains many original features, while incorporating modern comforts.
There is also a self-contained annexe within the farmhouse which has scope for generating holiday rental income.
