The driver of a forage harvester has been trapped and crushed this evening (Thursday, April 13) in an incident in Helston.
Police have reported that, while the driver managed to free themself, they suffered "nasty injuries".
The Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team were called to the scene and took the casualty to hospital.
At 6.17pm the team tweeted: "We were called to a person trapped/crushed by a combine harvester on private land.
"Luckily they were able to extract themselves but sustained nasty injuries.
"Health and Safety Executive notified and casualty conveyed to hospital for treatment."
The team's original tweet stated that the vehicle involved was a combine harvester - but they then confirmed that, in fact, it was a forage harvester.
