Legendary shotgun and rifle maker Purdey are encouraging their customers to bring their guns in for an annual servicing ahead of the shooting season, commencing 12th August 2023.
Purdey guns have a reputation for longevity and are often seen as heirlooms, something designed and built to be handed down through the generations, Purdey say having it serviced is an essential part of the annual sporting routine: to ensure longevity, avoid malfunction and give it an all-important clean.
A Purdey spokesman said: "Servicing your gun is a vital part of preserving its condition and longevity and Purdey's skilled team can help prepare your gun or rifle with a pre-season service ensuring to keep the gun in prime condition, ensuring it maintains its quality and shooting performance is at its best.
"The shooting world is constantly evolving and innovating. While faster and heavier game cartridges are thrilling, they take a toll on guns, that’s why it’s critical to ensure it is being serviced regularly and correctly."
Purdey offers a range of servicing options, some focused specifically on the mechanics, barrels, stock or engraving, and on general maintenance. They also can prepare a customer's gun or rifle with a pre-season service, and provide any further recommendations or provide post-season care which will keep a gun in prime condition.
