Kivells are pleased to report the sale of Hudson Farm located adjoining the River Tamar in the parish of Sutcombe, near Holsworthy, Devon.
The farm comprises a 44 acre grassland farm with a 4 bedroom farmhouse, a range of
traditional stone barns that may offer some development potential, subject to planning
consents, and also a range of adaptable modern farm buildings.
The farm was marketed at a guide of £1,000,000 and Mark Bromell, Director of Kivells, who handled the sale together with Jackie Chegwyn, are both pleased to announce that the farm has exchanged contracts and completed at a figure in excess of the guide price.
The department has recently launched a number of new farms and parcels of land to the
market, for sale by both private treaty and auction, including New Hartswell Farm in
Herodsfoot, Cornwall, an exceptionally well-equipped organic green field dairy enterprise, some 98 acres in all, with 16:32 herringbone parlour and 150 cubicles with 80kw wind turbine and 60kw solar array at a guide of £1.95 million.
Mark Bromell commented ‘The farm and land market remains very buoyant despite recent interest rate rises’.
Tom Rattray has also launched 42 acres of productive organic pastureland at Lanreath in
Looe, Cornwall at a guide of £500,000 and 91 acres of arable and pasture land at a guide of £900,000 located in St Merryn, Padstow, Cornwall. Also scheduled for auction on 13th September at Lifton Strawberry Fields is 40 acres of pasture land at Waterpit Down near Camelford, Cornwall.
Jackie Chegwyn also commented ‘Kivells’ monthly property and land auctions, which include numerous parcels of land, are still achieving strong prices for all sizes, qualities and types of land lots’.
The farm and land market remains very busy with many new instructions and with
numerous lots going quickly under offer in recent weeks indicating that land remains a
trusted long-term investment in times of higher inflation.
