A FANTASTIC mural has been painted by locals to be displayed at a Somerset farm which hosts free school visits to help with children's education.
Colin Watt and Rachel Main from Big Up Murals worked tirelessly over the summer to create the eye-catching and vibrant painting for Maundrils Farm in West Huntspill, near Bridgwater and Burnham-on-Sea.
The mural features flora and fauna found on the organic farm and illustrates the close relationship between nature and farming.
The farm hosts free school visits as part of the Countryside Stewardship scheme for educational access.
Pupils from local schools in East and West Huntspill recently visited Maundrils to celebrate harvest, and reportedly loved seeing the new mural.
All the timber for the project was donated by Brookridge Timber Ltd's Dunball branch, and J.D.Pope & Sons Ltd in Highbridge sponsored the cost of all the paints and varnish.
Joe and Rachel Horler, of Maundrils Farm, thanked everyone involved for their time and financial support: "It will be a fantastic learning resource for visitors.
"During visits, we explain how we look after the land and how we produce food alongside enhancing biodiversity and ecology."
