A Highbridge company's cider has claimed the title of South West's best.
Rich's Cider snatched the Champion Cider award at the Taste of the West Awards 2023.
Their victorious Vintage Cider is matured in century-old oak vats, lending it an unrivalled flavour.
Master Cidermaker George Scott, who cheerfully collected the award on November 6 at Sandy Park in Exeter, expressed the team's joy and pride.
Mr Scott said: "We are over the moon to win the Champion Cider at the Taste of the West Awards.
"We take immense pride in perfecting all of the ciders we produce, and we are particularly proud of our Vintage cider, which is matured in 100 year old oak vats to create its unique flavour."
Rich's was not a newcomer on the awards podium, having already scooped up seven Gold and Silver product awards in June.
The highly awaited champion cider title was, however, the crowning glory of a successful year.
The award ceremony was a day of celebration for the Rich family, and their Farm Shop was a finalist in the South West Farm Shop of the Year category, though it didn't clinch the top honours.
Rich's lauded Vintage Cider can be purchased at Rich's Farm Shop, The Cider Press Restaurant, or online.
