FARMERS and business representatives headed to Exeter for the first Mole Valley Farmers Expo last week.

On Wednesday, January 31, many gathered at the Matford Centre (home of the Exeter Livestock Market) to see a range of farming businesses.

Farmers could also watch a range of seminars, discussing a variety of topics from SFI to reducing the feed carbon footprint.

Head of sales at Mole Valley Farmers, Sam Holdstock, said: “The day had a great buzz with hundreds of our Farmer Shareholders, members and customers attending. Cooperation and collaboration is the way forward and even more so in a challenging market and this underpins the ethos of Mole Valley Farmers.

"This event was all about bringing our farmers, suppliers and the Mole Valley Farmers teams together, to share information, learn from each other and help plan for the year ahead.

“Many of our farmers took advantage of some of the show deals on offer which was great to see. The seminar room was also busy throughout the day. The feedback has been really positive and we’d like to thank all of our farmers and suppliers who supported this event.”

We attended the expo and here is a snippet of our day:

During the day, visitors were treated to bacon rolls on arrival and a hot lunch.

There were also a range of businesses, from IAE (suppliers of agricultural equipment) and Aliaxis (suppliers of piping systems) to Mole Valley representatives.
