A CHARITY tractor run raised more than £1,500 yesterday (Sunday, February 25).
The Wells and Glastonbury YFC tractor run raised money for Heads Up Somerset, who work with adults experiencing mental ill health and dementia. The charity was chosen as a member's dad is currently being helped by the service.
There were between 98 and 100 tractors who took part in the event, which raised an incredible £1,527.35.
Young Farmers Ben Kearle, Molly Lockyer and Joe Clark organised the tractor run with help from the Wells and Glastonbury YFC group.
Ben said: "The tractor run was really good. It went better than I thought and I didn’t think we would have such a big turn out.
"The run went smoothly with help from our stewards and volunteers."
