A GROUP met in East Devon earlier this month to discuss dairy farming.
The Women In Dairy meeting took place at Daisy's Dairy in Yarcombe, and many different women involved in various aspects of the dairy industry attended.
Megan from Blackdown Farm Vets was guest speaker at the event, and gave a talk during lunch about her time spent as a farm vet in New Zealand and Australia. This was followed by a question and answer session.
The group enjoyed a couple of hours discussing the autumn block calving dairy herd on the farm, breeding decisions and finding out more about processing milk on-site for sale through Daisy's Dairy milk vending machine.
A spokesperson for Devon Women in Daiy said: "The wet weather didn't dampen the spirits at February's Devon Women In Dairy meeting.
"Thank you to everyone who attended. The Devon group are meeting again in April."
