YOUNG farmers from Dorset headed down to Newquay earlier this month (March 1 until 3) for the South West Area Weekend.
Members of Dorset YFC took part in a variety of competitions from public speaking to performing arts.
Country treasurer of Dorset YFC, Joanna House from Marshwood Vale YFC, came first in the Situations Vacant 16-21 age group and was also the winner of Senior Member of the Year.
Olivia, Hannah and Lauren from Marshwood Vale YFC will be going to the NFYFC finals of the Junior Reading competition as they came second.
As well as this, county junior vice chairman, Bethany Mitchell from Sherborne YFC, came third in the Situations Vacant 22-28 class - she missed second place by just one point!
A spokesperson for Dorset YFC said: "What a way to finish the SWA Weekend with Joanna from Marshwood Vale YFC coming First in the Senior Member of the Year Competition and is definitely going to have a busy day at the National Finals. Well done Joanna!
"Thank you everyone for your support this weekend and to all those who represented us in every competition we are proud of you all!"
