AN agricultural machinery firm has presented a charity with a cheque for more than £15,000.
Redlynch Agricultural Engineering raised an incredible £15,082 at a Charity Christmas Ball, in aid of the Farming Community Network (FCN).
The ball, held on December 21 2023, involved guests bidding against one another to win luxury prizes. The prizes included a two-night stay at Gleneagles Scotland, an overnight stay at The Newt in Somerset, Fortnum & Masons Christmas hamper, a luxury JCB golf day and more.
Stephen Dennis, regional lead at FCN, said: "The south west FCN team would like to thank Nick Heal and all the team at Redlynch for the amazing efforts put into raising such a large sum of £15082.00 for the charity. Also thanks to all who gave at the fundraising ball in December.
"The money will be used to support the farming community in the south west as they meet the challenges as individuals, families and businesses whatever the issues might be!"
Redlynch opened its doors more than 40 years ago and now has three depots in the south west, in Somerset, Dorset and Wiltshire. The firm sells both new and pre-owned equipment.
The company is currently celebrating the handover of its 1000th Fendt tractor, just as Fendt is due to celebrate his 50th year of trading.
A spokesperson for Redlynch: "Redlynch has also been a consistent pillar in the community, as giving back and offering support has always been at the heart of the business.
"The final amount raised for FCN was totalled at a staggering £15,082!
"This donation will benefit hundreds of farmers up and down the UK, allowing FCN to continue providing fantastic support for years to come."
