A flock of chickens found their way into a pub beer garden in Dorchester.
The group of black chickens was discovered in the garden of the Trumpet Major off Alington Avenue.
Pub manager Nathan Wray discovered the hens when he came into work this morning (Wednesday, March 20.)
“I saw them this morning when I came in and I was quite surprised at how early it was because the pub doesn’t open until 11am,” he joked.
Nathan said he had asked all the neighbours in the area if they belonged to them but was even more surprised as none of them have said they own chickens.
At the time of writing, the chickens are roaming around the pub garden until someone comes to collect them - but until then, the pub has no way to corral the group.
The Trumpet Major is looking to reunite the chickens with their owner and are asking people to call the pub number on 01305 262091.
