A film which tells the true story of the rise of an underdog racehorse is set to be screened in Draycott.
Dream Horse, which tells Dream Alliance's story, will be screened at Draycott Community Cinema on the evening of May 11.
The event will host director Euros Lyn and crew members for a Q&A session.
Mr Lyn, acclaimed for directing episodes of Dr Who, Black Mirror and His Dark Materials, teamed up with sound mixer Stevie Haywood to create the film that won a Welsh BAFTA for sounds in 2022.
Mr Haywood, a Draycott resident, has invited some of the film's crew to join the Q&A, offering spectators a glimpse into the creation process of the film.
Dream Horse narrates the journey of Dream Alliance, a horse bred by small-town bartender Jan Vokes, portrayed by Academy Award nominee Toni Collette.
Ms Vokes, with very little money and no experience, persuades her neighbours to contribute to raising Dream, with hopes of challenging horse racing's elites.
Their efforts prove successful as Dream ascends the ranks to race in the Welsh Grand National.
Draycott Community Cinema, established in 2023, has hosted several several successful evenings at the Draycott Memorial Hall.
These include the Top Gun: Maverick for its grand opening, a children's Christmas screening of Polar Express, and The People's Choice's presentation of Hot Fuzz last month.
The cinema aims to appeal to all community members with a broad range of films.
The organisers keep children's screening tickets at £2, while accompanying adults do not need a ticket.
Dream Horse tickets are available for £5 on the cinema's website, at Draycott Community Shop, and at the door on screening night, provided they have not sold out.
The doors open at 7pm and the film commences at 7.30pm on May 11.
