YOUNG Farmers from across Somerset took part in their annual rally at the end of April.
Somerset YFC's event encouraged members from all over the county to take part in various competitions. These included: Stock Judging, Showing Livestock, Handicrafts, Woodwork, Floristry, Sheep Shearing, Shooting, Sporting Events, Machinery Handling, Mock Auctions and more.
The theme of the event was musicals and it took place at the Bath & West Showground on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27.
The Somerset Young Farmers County Rally 2024 raised money for Somerset YFC as well as their chosen charities. The event was organised by the Wessex Group, which includes Crewkerne, Ilminster, Langport, Wincanton and Yeovil.
Louise Seymour, county organiser for Somerset YFC, said: "The county rally was really successful with a record 1700 handicraft entries and 21 clubs taking part.
"We had many visitors, trade stands and sponsors and there were over 600 for the party on the Saturday evening.
"A special mention needs to go to Lottie Hill, who at 21, led the committee as rally chair, and was an outstanding organiser and leader."
