The outlook for the June farmgate milk prices remains unwavering as we delve into the monthly round-up.
Müller has confirmed that farmers within their Advantage scheme are to receive 38ppl, representing an increase of 0.5ppl. While the discretionary base price for a standard litre has also increased in equal amounts from last month to 37ppl.
Richard Collins, head of agriculture at Müller milk and ingredients stated: “We recognise the challenges being faced this spring and will continue to monitor supply and demand in the coming months to ensure we support our supplying farmers.”

Arla has also increased their offerings for conventional milk by 0.44ppl to 40.89ppl, while organic milk prices rise by 0.89ppl to 50.87ppl.
Arthur Fearnall, Arla Foods amba board director, said: “Global milk supplies continue to be stable or slightly lower, retail sales continue to show growth and commodity markets are stable, however fat prices are increasing.
“In the UK, the organic milk price increase is driven by increasing profitability.”
First milk manufacturing standard litres prices remain the same as May, at 39.5ppl.
