A MILK tanker overturned and spilt its load following a collision near Shipham, off the A38, yesterday (June 30).
The incident took place at 11.20am on Sunday and the driver has been taken to hospital as a precaution.
Police advised that people avoid the area of Rowberrow Lane as the road was "completely blocked".
After the incident, Avon and Somerset Police said in a statement: "We're at the scene of a collision on Rowberrow Lane off the A38 near Shipham, in which a milk tanker has overturned and spilt its load.
"Officers were called at about 11.20am today, Sunday 30 June to the collision which has completely blocked the road.
"The driver has gone to hospital by ambulance as a precaution. Please avoid the area."
