VISITORS flocked to a popular agricultural show last weekend.

On Saturday, July 13, the 119th Liskeard Show was held on the showground at Merrymeet. The sun shone on the day, and more than 10,000 people attended the event.

There was main ring entertainment, side shows, exhibitors, trade stands, music, food and drink, crafts and the ever-popular 'The Sheep Show'.

President of the show, Pauline Martin, celebrated her 100th birthday in February and presented prizes at the end.

She said: "I had a fabulous day and saw so much more of the show this year as I was transported around the showground on a gator!"

There were many entries in the livestock classes, with 730 sheep exhibited - which was the most the show has seen in years.
